Nick+Alyse (and Harper)
Lake Crescent Olympic National Park washington
I first met nick and Alyse when they reached out to me for their engagement session, we decided on shooting up at Gold Creek Pond. All of us expecting just a casual fall session at the pond, but as Washington weather would have it we got surprised by a full blow winter snow storm. I asked if they wanted to reschedule and instead Nick and Alyse laughed and cuddled their way through the session. Ruined hair, wet dog and soaked clothing in all. They made the absolute best of the situation.
Fast forward a global pandemic later, their Michigan wedding postponed a year, and Washington in the midst of a statewide forrest fire. Nick and Alyse were not willing to wait a year to get married. When the two reached out and said they were eloping at Crescent Lake and asked me to be there, I cleared my schedule. They found a local reverend to marry them, their childhood best friend and only attendant came to serenade them during their walk down the “aisle” and first dance. They paddle around the lake in Nick’s beloved canoe. And shared a slice of wedding cake with Harper on the beach.
While this wasn’t in any way their ideal wedding day plans, they made the absolute best of the situation. And I couldn’t have been more excited to be a part of this day. So congrats to Nick and Alyse, but also Harper, for finally tying the knot. I couldn’t be happier for you three.
Congratulation to Alyse, Nick and Harper on tying the knot!
