A Moody Winter Wedding at Alyeska Resort

Bride and Groom during first look

Family always comes first to me, it’s a value my Grandpa instilled in all of us from day one. So when my cousin first got engaged and his fiance asked if I would photograph their wedding, to I was overjoyed is an understatement. I knew the wedding at Alyeska Resort would be beautiful, but I didnt realize the moody romantic vibes that would be brought to the couples special day. Dylan and Elliot met on the jujutsu floor and fell in love grappling each other into submission. Over the last couple of years over family dinners I grew close to Dylan and her kind love for our family and my grand-dog they adopted they brought to their Christmas card session with me last year.

The couple has always been bold and energetically themselves in every way possible. When Dylan was asked to describe her and Elliot’s winter wedding at Alyeska Resort in Girdwood Alaska, she summed it up better than I ever could. “Moody and romantic, a pinch of Morticia Adams a heavy dose of Great Gatsby, a dash of Noir, a smattering of Ethereal, and a healthy pour of Glamour.” She just failed to mention the totally uncalled for twenty inch snowstorm that hit their venue the night before and an additional ten inches that fell during their ceremony. More snowy wedding inso from this particular snowstorm can be seen here. While the wedding party got ready, guests enjoyed a perfect powder day skiing at Alyeska Resort and showed up in the NINES to celebrate Elliot and Dylan’s bold and elegant winter wedding. Welcome to the family Dylan – And cheers to your and Elliot’s love!
